The US has enjoyed a lot of great collaborations between great artists in 2010. One of the greatest song and best featuring of 2010 was Forever, played by Drake featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Eminem. This song is all about great lyrics, great melodic line and great names. Drake managed to get some of the greatest names to back him out with this kick ass song and the result was more than we have imagined. All these bad guys gathered round and told it as it is. The video is all about different postures these guys take. Drake managed to look tough and mysterious through the way he was looking behind above his right shoulder. Kanye was his charming self grabbing his head while he rapped his part. His original self made people go crazy, as thee isn`t a Kanye fan that doesn`t go crazy for that specific move. He totally gets involved and uses his entire body to do it. Lil Wayne raps his part by simply chilling with his shinny grill. He needs nothing else to show him off, as his voice and the cool way he holds that cigar is all this video needs from him. Eminem on the other hand kept it low and looked worse than ever hiding under his hood and looking serious. In the end he gives it back to drake with a great gesture, somehow letting us know that it`s his gig we`re loving.
Another great return USA had the pleasure of enjoying this year was Usher with his OMG (Oh My God). Though I personally found the lyrics to be kind of teenager appropriate, the public loves everything Usher brings out as he has the magic it takes to turn any kind of song into a hit. Whenever you sit in front of your TV and Usher happens to come up, you can`t even hear what his singing as you are probably too amazed by his moves. He managed to get himself world wide known for his moves as there just doesn`t seem to be another artist that can top him. Some people would fight me on this one, offering Justin as an argument as there are those who believe Justin is way better than Usher. Still, Justin also managed to bring out a new song this year, as he did a featuring with Timbaland as we are all used to by now. The song Carry Out is simple, fun and rhythmical. For some reason, whenever these two launch a new song, we just can`t stop shaking our bodies.
In the end I need to present the golden couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z and the way they just can`t seize to amaze us. As Jay-Z said in Empire State of Mind, “Yeah they love me everywhere…”people really love him everywhere as he most be one of the most popular stars world wide. Beyonce is always keeping up and surprising us with new styles and new songs every year. Her latest song, Why don`t you love me absolutely sweeps you away with it`s great video, as people just can`t seem to get enough of the diva.
